FSHN 322 Marketing Nutrition and Food
This is a video that I created for my Marketing Nutrition and Food course, where I demonstrate how to cook a healthier version of Asian Lettuce Wraps. Not only did I star in and edit the video, but I also created the recipe on my own through trial and error. I was hesitant about this project at first, but ended up loving being in front of the camera and editing my video. I think that this is a valuable skill to have as the nutrition profession shifts more towards the use of technology and social media to deliver nutrition messages. |

Bariatric Food Guide

As part of my internship at the Hawaii Center for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, I completed a student project. I chose to create a resource for patients five weeks post-surgery and beyond-essentially a tool that patients can use for the rest of their lives. The guide includes information on meal planning, healthy eating patterns, sample menus and recipes. The guide is now incorporated into the routine post-operative patient education due to its local relevance and effective display of nutrition information. |
